Weigh-in: Week 59

Another week has flown by and with that a few more ounces are behind me.  It is quite possible that I could top the 100 lbs. down mark by next week.  I'll announce the winner of a new Magic Bullet once that comes to pass.  Right now my main focus isn't necessarily on the 263.4 milestone, but the fact that I have committed to an intensified 5K in June (see www.5kfoamfest.com).  That is less than 90 days from now and I am FAR from ready.

The readout from this morning is shown here at 266.6 lbs.  Looks almost demonic, huh?  That is a total loss of 96.8 lbs.  The body fat percentage today was 40.1%, while the water weight floated up to 43.0%.  These aren't the stellar results I had hoped for, but I'll take progress, even if it's 1.2 lbs down for the last seven days.

Cya next time,
M

What I ate today and how I exercised:
Breakfast ~ None.  I flew out the door in a hurry for an early meeting and never got to it.
Lunch ~ A mixed greens and roasted pepper salad w/a can of tuna, balsamic on the side and cup of bean soup at the diner.
Afternoon snack ~ A Kashi snack bar
Dinner ~ The wife is cooking some vegetarian split pea soup with Mexican spices.  We'll have a side salad w/my homemade chipotle lime dressing.
Exercise ~ I will get in at least 2 miles in on The Dreadmill before bed.

Weigh-in: Week 58

Hey there!  Did ya have a good week?  I sure did.  I am very late posting this and the day just got away from me.  So let this post serve as a place holder until I can come back tomorrow or Wednesday and clean 'er up a bit.

This week I lost 4.4 lbs.  I told you last week this one was going to be a good one and the following would be better.  So far so good.  I'll fill in all of the other typical info on the next pass.  Here is my scale picture.

Thanks for swinging by!  I'm off to bed.

Weigh-in: Week 57

Honesty has always been the hallmark of this endeavor.  It's essential to making it work.  So it is with great honesty that I say that I royally f'd up this past week.  Since the middle of the week last week I have been eating without inhibition and taking a ton of garbage into my system.  I've basically been on a food bender.  It's over now, but I have much regret about my recklessness.

Last week my cousin re-posted my blog and said that I was his inspiration.  That felt good back then.  Now it feels like I've let him down big time and a few more of you that not only read this regularly, but look at my quest like a partnership that you take part in.  Ultimately, this about me, but I do apologize to you, my readers, for chucking it all aside and bingeing.

Today was a real good day.  I ate better than I have in the recent past and I got on The Dreadmill and did 45 minutes and about 2.2 miles.  This week will be the best yet...as will the one after.  I am setting my sites on my June 5K event and I am so far from ready, it is starting to scare me a bit.  Enough with the bullshit and on with the task at hand.

The scale here shows that my wicked ways put a whole 3.6 lbs. back on me.  I won't even get into the body fat and water percentages, because at this point, they become moot.  But the good news is that this is not the beginning of the end, it is the end of a big bump in the road.  It's along drive to 195.  I suppose there were bound to be a few potholes and flats along the way.

What I ate today and how I exercised:
Breakfast ~ I got these vegetable souffle thingies from Costco that are 150 calories.  They aren't great, but they are a decent breakfast from a nutritional value standpoint.
Lunch ~ 3 slices of thin lean ham and two thin slices of Alpine Lace smoked provolone, w/light mayo and jalapenos on a multi-grain wrap (around 200 calories!) and a side salad with homemade vinaigrette and toasted pine nuts.
Dinner ~ A lovely piece of salmon with a mustard glaze, rice and stir fried vegetables, prepared by my Aunt H.  Great tasty, healthy meal.
Exercise ~ 2.2 miles in 45 minutes on the treadmill.  I ran some, but not much.

Weigh-in: Week 56

Not a whole lot to talk about here today. Last week I posted a great result.  This week...not so much.  So we'll keep short and sweet.  Kinda like me.  Let's get to the results.

No change this week!  I still stand at 269.2 lbs.  The total remains at 94.2 lbs. lost. The body fat percentage is currently 40.9% and the water percentage is 42.4%.  That's all to report, for now.  We'll post something before the week is out.

Cya,
M
